Man struck by vehicle in Winnipeg's Garden City neighbourhood

A man was taken to hospital in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle on Jefferson Avenue on Sunday morning.

Winnipeg police said the pedestrian was hit on Jefferson Avenue, between McPhillips Street and Fir Street, around 3:25 a.m.

Police on the scene said the vehicle drove off.

The street is closed and police continue to investigate.
