Winnipeg man charged with 2nd-degree murder for Main Street hotel killing

Eric John Guimond, 57, has been charged with second-degree murder after John BlaineFlett, 50, was found covered in blood and not breathing ina Main Street hotel lobby on Sunday.

Guimondwas charged on Tuesday, police said in a news release Wednesday afternoon.

Flettwasstabbedin the upper body after a dispute, police said.

He was lying on the ground when officers arrived at the Manwin Hotel around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

He was rushed to hospital in critical condition but died.

Guimondis being held in custody.
