Dozens of Idle No More protesters gathered late Monday afternoon outside the site of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg.

Rally organizers said they were not expecting a large crowd, but they wanted to hold an event at the museum site.

The protests have been part of the Idle No More movement, whichbegan late last year in protest of the federal government's omnibus Bill C-45.

Although Idle No More rallies in Winnipeg have been very peaceful, Monday's event featured a large police presence, with several cruisers and a number of officers visible in the area.
