Police ID man who died after being found unresponsive in Winnipeg apartment

A 43-year-old man whodied after being found unresponsive Saturday morning at an apartment building in Winnipeg has been identified asCharles Danny Chartrand.

A 43-year-old man whodied after being found unresponsive Saturday morning at an apartment building in Winnipeg has been identified asCharles Danny Chartrand.

Police were called to the apartment on Fountain Street, between Logan and Alexander avenuesin the Centennial neighbourhood, shortly after 3 a.m. and found Chartrandunresponsive.

They provided emergency medical care before rushing him to hospital in critical condition, where he died.

There was also afire in a suite of same building just hours earlier,but police have said they believe the two incidents appear unrelated.

Chartrand's death is being investigated by the homicide unit.
