20-year-old pedestrian killed in south Winnipeg

A 20-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle Monday night in south Winnipeg.

Crash happened just before 9 p.m. at Bison Drive and Markham Road

A 20-year-old man is dead after being hit by a vehicle Monday night in south Winnipeg.

Police were called to Bison Drive and Markham Road just before 9 p.m.

The man was taken to hospital in critical condition but died.

The 73-year-old driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and spoke with officers, a Winnipeg police news release said.

Theintersection was closed for about eight hours for the investigation. It reopened shortly after 5 a.m. Tuesday.
