2 people found dead in house fire south of The Pas, Man.

Two people are dead after a house fire south of The Pas last Thursday, RCMP said.

Around 11:45 p.m. RCMP were called to a fire on Grymonprez Road, about 27 kilometres south of The Pas.

When they arrived the home was completely engulfed in flames and the responding officers were told people may still be inside, RCMP said.

When the fire was extinguished, firefighters went into the home and found the remains of two people. RCMP said autopsies are being conducted to confirm the identities.

Fire investigators are still looking into the cause of the fatal blaze and the investigation is ongoing.

The Pas is locatedabout 521kilometresnorthwestof Winnipeg.
