Man, 18, charged in fatal highway crash near Lorette, Man.

An 18-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving and several other offences in connection with a fatal crash near Lorette, Man., that left a 29-year-old woman dead.

An 18-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving and several other offences in connection with a fatal crash nearLorette, Man., that left a 29-year-old woman dead.

RCMP were called just before 5 a.m. Sunday toHighway207,halfway between Deacon's Corner andLorette,after a car and pickup truck crashed.

The woman, who was driving the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three people in the pickup truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are reported to be in stable condition, RCMP said. The 18-year-old driver has been charged. (Cliff Simpson/CBC)

  • Impaired drivingcausing death.

  • Two counts of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
  • Two counts of criminal negligence causingbodily harm.
