Victim identified in fatal Winnipeg bicycle collision

Police have identified the victim in a fatal collision involving a cyclist in west Winnipeg on Friday.

Police have identified the victim in a fatal collision involving a cyclist in west Winnipeg on Friday.

Police said Leslie Freundenberg, 87, died at the scene.

The crashhappened shortly before3 p.m. Friday in the area of Hamilton Avenue and Wharton Boulevard.

According to police theman was travelling in the same direction as the vehicle, which had a boom lift attached to it.

The driver was shaken up and stayed on the scene after the crash, police said.

Police said no charges are anticipated.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 204-986-6271.
