Pair arrested for assault that left McLaren Hotel worker's ears partly bitten off

Donald (Rocky) Loupelle and a woman have been arrested by Winnipeg police in connection with an assault on a Winnipeg hotel worker.

Two people havebeen arrested in connection with an assault in which a Winnipeg hotel worker'sears were partly bitten off.

Donald (Rocky)Loupelle, 44, was taken into custody without incident, police said on Twitter Wednesday. Hewas wanted for aggravatedassault. A woman was also arrested, but her name was not immediately released.

Bunn, 40, said she recognized the man as someone who had previously been evicted from the hotel for drinking. Bunnsaid a verbal argument with the pair turned physical.

She said the woman bit off parts of her ears and bit her face and hand. The man hit her in the head with a bat, Bunn said, and she was also kicked and punched.

At the time, police said Bunn was "viciously assaulted by the pair over several minutes causing serious injuries."
