The union representing City of Winnipeg employees is taking shots atMayor Sam Katz and his councillors.

A newTV ad by CUPE Local 500 accuses the city of privatizing and contracting out city services, like garabage collection and water.

It also says the city is sellingpublic infrastructure, including its firehalls, to friends.

"They're selling off our infrastructure, tried to sell firehalls to their friends and want to privatize parks, golf courses, and arenas," the ad states.

The adclaims the privatization will result in higher costs and service cuts to the average Winnipegger and encourages the mayor and city council to reconsider those decisions.

Itruns until the end of November.
