Mayor-elect Brian Bowman revealed his five-member transition team Monday that will help him prepare to be sworn in Tuesday of next week.

They are some of the people who helped him win the race to be mayor.

Bowman's team will be co-chaired by "research and business veteran, Andrew Enns, president of NRG Research, and Barbara Biggar, president of Biggar Ideas, a seasoned executive who specializes in strategic communications and government relations."

Biggar was a senior advisor to Gary Filmon, former Progressive Conservative premier of Manitoba.

Bryan Gray is a former policy advisor to outgoing mayor Sam Katz.

Both were Bowman's senior advisors during the 2014 civic election campaign.

Also on the new mayor's transition team:

  • Jana Thorsteinson, a 'senior campaign team member' during the election and Red River College manager of Alumni Relations
  • Phillip Paskewitz, Bowman's official agent during the campaign, a certified management accountant with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority
  • Bryan Gray, lawyer with public affairs firm Veritas North, who has worked for the city and the province in various roles
  • toile Stewart, Bowman's 'special advisor,' strategic planning and policy coordinator for the city.

Bowman will be sworn in Nov. 4.
