RCMP nab 3 teens in home south of Winnipeg, charge them with break-in

A trio of teen boys face break-and-enter-relatedcharges after they were caught inside a home.

RCMPwere called Sunday afternoon by someone who saw three peoplegoing into a house that was still under construction inLaSalle, a small community just south of Winnipeg.

Officers responded and found the boys a17-year-old and 15-year-old boy fromStarbuck, along with a 16-year-old from Sanford inside.

They have since been released from police custody to their parents with a promiseto appear in court at a later date.

The RCMP are using the incident as a reminder about how the general public can help fight crime.

"Reporting criminal activity occurring in your community to police as it happens greatly increases the ability police have to arrest criminals and help make your communities safer," a news release from RCMP said.
