Bike for person with disabilities stolen from Winnipeg home

Winnipeg police are looking for a specialized bicycle, designed for a person with disabilities, that was stolen from a home in the city's south St. Vital area earlier this month.

Winnipeg police are looking for a specialized bicycle, designed for a person with disabilities, that was stolen from a home in the city's south St. Vital area earlier this month.

The three-wheeladaptivebike is believed to have been stolen from the garage of a home near Warde Avenue and Paddington Road sometime between July 3-13, police said Thursday.

The Discovery series bike is produced by Winnipeg-based Freedom Concepts Inc. and is valued at about $2,500.

Police issued a photo of a Discovery bike similar to the one that was stolen.

Anyone with information about the suspect or suspects, or the whereabouts of the stolen bike, is asked to call investigators at (204)986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at (204)786-TIPS (8477).
