An employee at one of London's largest grocery stores has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to an email sent by the Real Canadian Superstore to its customers.

Customers were notified by email late Friday night that an employee at the store at 1205 Oxford Street Westhad fallen ill and that the location would undergo "a thorough deep-clean and sanitization" before opening for business on Saturday.

The grocery chain said the employee had not been in the store since April 20th.

"Out of an abundance of caution," the email said. "We're notifying customers who recently transacted at the store."

The store is one of the largest grocery stores in the city with thousands of customers and occupies a property that was once the Oakridge Mall.
