A London, Ont., eatery known for long lineups and hosting twilight meals during the holy month of Ramadan might be doing things a little differently, but nothing has changed about thefood.

Zaatars is known for its pies, according to the north London location owner Nadia Fayad. So, when thousands of Londoners break their fast tonight, they'll likely be biting into many of the comfort foods she offers.

Her shop offers everything from savoury meat pies, to sweet pies filled with a chocolate hazelnut spread, but this year her customers will have to take them to go.

It means the long lines and celebrating long into the night that normally takes place inside this bake shop won't be happening this time around, but she says, she's rolling with the punches.

"As much as I want to sit and chit-chat and get that sense of community, it's going to be a little different," she said. "Right now with COVID, everything is right up in the air and you find that people are really having a hard time."

"Even if it's just to create a meal to get that stress off your plate, we can definitely help out."
