Emergency crews continue to search for a missing boater in Lake Erie. Reginald Fisher was last seen near Port Glasgow.

Reginald Fisher, 77, was last seen Thursday afternoon

A pair of helicopters and other rescue vessels were involved in the search for a possible missing wind surfer or paddle boarder at Sauble Beach. The investigation was called off Wednesday, after police said they believe the person made it back to shore safely.

Emergency crews resumed a fourth day of searching for a missing boater in Lake Erie Monday.

Reginald Fisher was last seen near Port Glasgow at about 3:00p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Witnesses said the 77-year old was alone in his 14 ft sailboat and by Friday, when he hadn't returned, he was reported missing.

Search and rescue crews with the OPP found his overturned vessel Friday evening, but Fisher has not been located.

"Since that time police have been conducted an extensive search by air and water," police said.
