Waterloo Taxi giving free ride to blood donors Monday

Waterloo Taxi says it will provide free round trip rides to blood donors in Kitchener-Waterloo onCivic Holiday Monday.

The cab company has partnered with Canadian Blood Services "as part of their dedication to their community," the company said in a release Thursday.

The goal is to collect 32 donations over the holiday, and recruit new donors.

"WaterlooTaxiis a community focused organization, and helping people is something we are very passionate about,"TonyRodrigues, Waterloo Taxi's director of marketing said in a statement.

Monday donation appointment

The Canadian Blood Services donation clinic at 94 Bridgeport Rd. in Waterloo will beopen on the holiday, between 4 and 8 p.m.

The agency is asking donors to make an appointment for that time, on its website.
