Waterloo's corduroy road revealed

A roadway paved with logs, known as a corduroy road, was uncovered in Waterloo, Ont. in 2016 during excavations for a Light Rail installation. Archaeologists dated the road back to the very early 1800s, making it one of the earliest-known roads built by European settlers in Ontario.
