Need your vaccine receipt printed? The Region of Waterloo Library has you covered

The Region of Waterloo Library is making it easier for people to have proof of vaccination. They have set up special kiosks at each library branch for people to access and print their vaccine receipts.

Service is available to anyone not just library members, says director of cultural services

The Region of Waterloo Library has set upkiosks at all of its library branches to allow people to print out their vaccine receipts asprovince's vaccine passport mandate gets underway.

"As soon as we heard about the regulation, we put all of those things in place as quickly as we could,"said Helen Chimirri-Russel, director of cultural services for the library.

"We know that not everyone has a printer at home and so it seemed like a natural fit to ensurepeople to have access to be able to printthe information they need in order to provide proof of vaccination."

Chimirri-Russel adds you don't need to be a library member to access the kiosks, and all people need to bring is their health card.

Each kiosk station has a computer and printer set up. Chimirri-Russel said staff at the library will be there to help anyonenavigate the system.

"We have staff there to help people out and so we're finding that they are well used, particularly by those people who need that extra bit of support," she said.

Chimirri-Russel said they will keep the service running as long as the community is in need of them, noting that as the app rolls out on Oct. 22, theremay be people who don't have access to a smart phone.
