Election panel: Candidates in new riding Kitchener South-Hespeler talk opioid crisis, transit

Three candidates for the new riding of Kitchener South-Hespelerdiscussed the opioid crisis and transit issues during a provincial election panel that aired Thursday onThe Morning Edition.

The panel included Green candidate David Weber, NDP candidate Fitzroy Vanderpool and Liberal candidate Surekha Shenoy.

ProgressiveConservative candidate Amy Fee declined to take part in the panel, saying she had a previous engagement.

Elections Ontario lists six candidates in the riding, including Libertarian candidate Nathan Andre Lajeunesse and Narine Sookram, who is running as an independent.
