A Guelph man has plotted out the best light displays in the city as a way of organizingdonations for his local food bank

Abhi Kantamneni of Guelph has created maps that highlight the best driving or walking routes in different parts of the city for people to see holiday lights.

Along those routes, he's also co-ordinated with homeowners to set up donation bins for the Guelph Food Bank. The homes marked with buns icons are where people can drop off non-perishable food items.

Kantamneni, a PhDcandidate in the department of geography at the University of Guelph, moved to Canada four years ago and has lived in Guelph for three years. He says he enjoys doing something to benefit the community and was partially inspired by a neighbour who hasan elaborate holiday display.

He created a map of Halloween decorations in the fall andsays people have now dubbed him the Guelph "map guy."

The maps are available in an open Google document.
