Cariboo dog sledding business loses 70 per cent this year

After poor winter conditions robbed the majority of Mountain Dog Sledding's business in Lac le Hache, the tourism company has now closed several weeks earlier than usual.

It's tough to complain about the warm winter we just went through, unless you make your living on top of the snow.

At the Mountain Dog Sledding touring company in Lac Le Hachebusiness was down 70 per cent this year.

And the season has now ended weeks earlier than usual.

Andy Lawrence is the owner.

He says there's more that could be done to promote tourism in the area.
