Norfolk police answer call about naked man rolling around on front lawn

Norfolk OPP have arrested a manthey say stripped naked Wednesday afternoon and rolled around on someone's lawn.

Police say around 5:07 p.m., officers were called to a home on Charlotteville Road 7 near Simcoe. A resident had called after seeing "an unclothed person rolling around on the front lawn."

When officers arrived, the man ran away, but they caught up and he was arrested without incident, police said in a media release titled "Suspicious incident locate naked individual."

A 31-year-old manis charged with being intoxicated in a public place.

Const. Ed Sanchuk said it appears to be unrelated to a Tuesday incident where a naked man broke into a home on Concession 13 in Townsend.

Police say the man broke into the home around 4:14 a.m. and woke the homeowners, who confronted him, and the man ran away.

As investigators were searching for him, another person called police saying the man was at a Highway 24 home. Police went there and arrested the man without incident.

For that, a 35-year-old Norfolk County man facesa break and enter charge, a mischief charge and three counts of trespassing at night.

As for why Norfolk has had multiple naked incidents this week, "I am at a loss for words," Sanchuk said.
