Harlan Pepper celebrated the release of the band's new album "Take Out a $20 and Live Life to the Fullest" Thursday.

Hamilton roots rock quartet Harlan Pepper is playing an extremely compact tour on Tuesday seven venues in one day, to be exact.

To celebrate the release of the bands new album Take out a $20 and Live Life to the Fullest, theyre playing a series of small, pop-up gigs all the way to Toronto before their official CD release at Cameron House.

They started at CHCH TV Tuesday morning, before moving to the Mulberry Street Coffee House on James Street North, where CBC Hamilton caught the bands short set. Watch the video above for a clip of Harlan Pepper playing Smoggy Fountain Shakedown.

The band also plans to hit up the CBC Atrium in Toronto, the Trinity-Bellwoods hockey rink, Exclaim TV and Soundscapes in Toronto before their CD release at Cameron House at 10 p.m.

Take out a $20 and Live Life to the Fullest is Harlan Peppers second album, and it features a more raw, rock and roll sound. Weve got bigger amps now, so we can play louder, laughed guitarist Jimmy Hayes.
