Lowe's employee in Brantford tests positive for COVID-19

A Lowe's location in Brantfordtemporarily closed on Sunday after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

A Lowe's location in Brantfordtemporarily closed on Sunday after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The company noted online that the associate last worked in the Henry Street storeon June 30. Management learned of the positive test result on Sunday and closed the store on the same day for "extensive cleaning and disinfecting."

Management said it worked with public health before reopening on Monday.

It's unclear what the worker's symptoms were, if any, and how many other workers had to self-isolate.

The store is encouragingcustomers who visited between June 23 and June 30to monitor for symptoms until July 14 or call TeleHealth Ontario.

Brant County Public Health said, as of Monday, two people in the area have COVID-19 and neitherof them are inhospital.
