Pan Am: What you need to know for Thursday in Hamilton

Sports

The Canadian men will be on the pitch in Hamilton tonight. They play Panama in soccer tonight at 8:30 p.m. Peru and Brazil play the 5:30 p.m. game in the earlier slot.

There will be some medal matches today, with a big day in the velodrome with women's and men's team sprint finals. There will also be medal events for badminton, shooting, weightlifting and another five medals to give away in the pool.

Community events

Pan Promenade and Celebration Square at Gore Park

The Gore Park festivities run from 11 a.m. to midnight every day. The main stage has entertainment throughout the day.

The Pan Am Art Explosion also features sculptures made from exploded soccer balls.

Ottawa Street International Food Court/Food Central

The international food court continues every day this week, hosted by the Ottawa Street BIA. It runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. until July 26 and includes vendors, yoga, pottery and arts.

Artmatch

Organized by Centre3 for Print and Media, artists have done art installations along Barton Street near the stadium.
