Hamilton logs 18 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday

Hamilton Public Health Services is reporting 18 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.

Total number of resolved cases now stands at 9,341

Hamilton Public Health Services is reporting 18 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.

There are 342 active cases of COVID-19 in the city with no new deaths linked to the virus in the last 24 hours.

Hamilton's weekly rate of new cases per 100,000 people is at 50.

Since March, a total of 278 people have died after contracting COVID-19.

The total number of resolved cases now stands at 9,341.

There are currently 21 COVID-19 outbreaks in the city,the latest being the Umbrella Family and Child Centres of Hamilton: Before and After School Program at Cathy Wever Elementary School.

Status of vaccine distribution in Hamilton

As of the end of day Feb. 19, a total of 26,738 vaccines had been administered 9,424 at mobile clinics and 17,314 at the fixed clinic at Hamilton Health Sciences.

Brant

The county of Brant has 47 active cases according to data online. There were six new cases in the last 24 hours.

There have been 1,440 cases since March and 12 deaths. There's no one currently hospitalized with COVID-19.

A total of 1,381 cases have been marked as resolved.

Haldimand-Norfolk

Haldimand and Norfolk Counties are reporting a total of 20 active cases of COVID-19 with one new case reported over the last 24 hours.

There have been 1,402 cases throughout the pandemic. Of those 1,338 have recovered.

The local public health unit has linked the virus to 39 deaths.

Halton

The number of COVID-19 cases in Halton rose by 23, for a total of 9,223 so far.

Data indicates 208of those cases are active.

There were no new cases in Burlington, which has seen 2,368cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. There are 29active cases in the city.

A total of 190people across the region have died after being infected with the virus, 49 of them in Burlington.

Niagara

Niagara is reporting 19 new cases of COVID-19. The region has seen 8,469 cases over the course of the pandemic, including 270 that are active.

A total of 365 deaths have been linked to the virus over the course of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, 7,834 cases are now marked as resolved.

Six Nations

Six Nations of the Grand River had 35 active COVID-19 cases as of Feb. 19, according to Ohsweken Public Health.

There have been 249 cases reported over the course of the pandemic and three deaths.

A total of 211 cases have been marked as resolved.
