Man in his 20s shot in east end home invasion

A man in his 20s went to hospitalafter he was shot in a home invasion on Weir Street North Saturday night but police say he'sexpected to survive.

The shooting happened around 9:15 p.m., said Hamilton policeDet. Curtis Patton.

Police believe therewere other people inside the house at the time, but only the one man was injured.

Police are interviewing witnesses and have not made any arrests.

"Our victim is not overly cooperative," Patton said.

For now, they're looking for at least one suspect but it's believed there could be more thanfour other suspects involved.

They don't yet have a description of the suspect, "other than he had a gun," Patton said.
