Blood-covered man at gas station dies, ruled homicide

Man who arrived at gas station covered in blood has died.

Ablood-soaked man who drove to a gas station on the Stoney Creek Mountain early Friday morning has died.

According to Hamilton Police the death has been ruled a homicide and will be investigated by the homicide unit.

The man arrived in a vehicle at the Pioneer Gas station at 333 Upper Centennial Parkway near Green Mountain Road just after 2:30 a.m.

In a news release, police said the man was seen to have "sustained serious life-threatening injuries."

The man managed to flag down a person in the area, who called 911. He was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries Sunday afternoon.

Due to the man's injuries, police originally weren't able to speak with him, and could not identify him until the weekend.
