Woman's death in hotel ruled a homicide

The death of a woman whose bodywas found Wednesday at the Yellowhead Inn has been ruled a homicide.

The woman was found about 8 a.m. in a room at the hotel located at Yellowhead Trail and 150th Street.

Police are still trying toconfirm who she is. They have not released the cause of death.

The hotel general manager said the woman was staying in a room with a man he described as a trucker.

This is Edmonton's 27th homicide of 2011.
