For more than five decades, hehas made his home, and his living, in the immense boreal forest near Fort McMurray in northern Alberta.

In the course of his lifetime, asleepy little town in the valley of the Athabasca River has been transformed into a boom-and-bust oil city, where fortunes have been made, and lost, over and over again.

He is aMtistrapper who lives a peaceful and solitary life inhis cabin in the woods.
