The ribbon has been cut, and soon it will be the public's turn to tour Rogers Place. The much-anticipated open house is now completely booked, with 57,700 tickets sold.

In what the city is calling a "sensational response," thousands will flood into downtown Saturdayto visit the new $600-million arenato take in the space and try out the concession fare.

The city is urging people to use transit to get there.

While the Metro LRT Line stops just beside the arena, the city is encouraging people use the Capital Line and get off at Churchill or Bay/Enterprise Square stations and walk to the arena.

There will also be a number of buses running downtown, but several detours are in effect.

Volunteer street teams will be on hand to guide people to a pedestrian portal through the downtown construction at 103rd Street and 103rd Avenue and into the arena.

However people choose to arrive, they're reminded to bring their printed tickets with them since there will be no will call service.

Anyone without a ticket will be turned away.
