Nicole's parents still searching

The parents of a missing woman have returned to Red Deer but they say they haven't stopped searching for their daughter.

Twenty-five year-old Nicole Hoar was last seen on June 21 when she left her tree-planting camp to hitchhike from Prince George to Smithers, B.C.

Jack Hoar returned to work at the Hudson's Bay Company on Monday after three weeks of despair, disbelief and tears. He says he needed more structure in his life in order to cope with his daughter's disappearance.

"I'm trying to find something else to keep my mind occupied...but I must admit I'm finding it difficult. Some of the things you do at work that you thought were important, you get back there and you realize they're not really important."

Hoar says he's not back in Red Deer because he and his wife have given up hope. The parents decided it would be better for the family's health to go home.

Nicole's mother Barb says she's not ready to return to work. "I'm not giving up hope. I will keep searching until we find her. I'm not sure I want details, I just need to know where our daughter is."

The cash reward for information leading to Nicole Hoar's whereabouts now stands at $37,000.
