MP Laurie Hawn burns tweet ruling in both official languages

Edmonton MP Laurie Hawn blasts Canada's official languages commissioner for a ruling that will reportedly suggest Canadian cabinet ministers tweet in both official languages.

In three words, Edmonton MP LaurieHawnblasted Canada's Official Languages Commissioner Graham Fraser for a ruling that will reportedly suggest Canadian cabinet ministerstweet in both official languages.

In case you didn't get that,Hawnrepeated it this time in English to CBC's Mark Connolly Friday morning, "I thinkthis idea is stupid."

Fraser is expected to rule that ministerial Twitter accounts should be treated the same as anyother official government communications, Canadian Press reported this week.

"I tweet andfacebookand Imnot speaking for the government, Im speaking forme."
