March 12th, 1983: The Scona Kitchen Mixers put on a show for a group of Edmonton elementary students. CBC's Donna Korchinski reports.

These seniors have hoedown game.

Thirty-three years ago, a group of grandmas and grandpas showed off their old-school 'STOMP' skills to elementary students at Edmonton's Mount Pleasant Elementary School.

They're called the Scona Kitchen Mixers, and all of their instruments are crafted from their kitchens and bathrooms.

CBC's Donna Korchinski shared their story and their music on the Mar. 12, 1983 edition of Saturday Report.
