Man charged after two seniors injured in north Edmonton crash

A 31-year-old man is facing charges after two seniors were struck by an SUV in north Edmonton.

A 31-year-old man is facing charges after two seniors were struck by an SUV in north Edmonton.

Police say a Toyota Rav4 was travelling southon 90thStreetaround 8 a.mMay 10. As it turnedtoward 132nd Avenue, the vehiclecrashed into an 85-year-old man riding an oncoming motorcycle.

Moments later, police saythe vehiclestruck an 80-year-old female pedestrian, who had been standing near the southeast corner of the intersection.

Both victims were rushed to hospital.The man remainsin stable condition, the woman's injuries are described as serious.

The driver of the SUV has been charged with makingan unsafe left turn at an intersection and operating a vehicle without proper supervision.
