Globetrotter Zeus McClurkin dropped in at St. Thomas More Junior High on Tuesday with a message drawn from his struggles as a budding basketball player.

At St. Thomas More Academy, Zeus McClurkin of the Harlem Globetrotters delivers an inspirational message and a bundle of basketball tricks. The junior high kids learn how this athlete persevered to achieve his goals.

Zeus McClurkin of theHarlem Globetrotters dropped by St. Thomas More junior high on Tuesday with a message for the students.

"You can make itthrough any type of adversity," he told the Edmonton sports academy students.

McClurkin saidhe didn't make his first basketball team until Grade 11.

"I got cut a lot," he told CBC videoproducer Trevor Wilson.
