Four people were injured Wednesday when a truck smashed through the front windows of an Alberta Avenue gas station.

A collision at the gas station at 118th avenue and 97th street left two people pinned under the vehicle. The driver was arrested with the help of people nearby.

Four peoplewere injured Wednesday when a truck smashed through the front windows of an Alberta Avenue gas station.

Two people werepinned under the truck andsuffered seriousinjuries, police said. Two others were also hurt in the crash.

"If you can see it, thedamage is all the way to the back wall," saidSgt. KevinBrookes.

Edmonton police werecalled at 11:20 a.m. to a Petro-Canada stationon the corner of97th Streetand 118th Avenue.

Brookes said initial reports were thattwo of the four people injured werecustomers inside the store and two were clerks.

Brookes told CBC News that witnesses helped detain thedriver, who is now in custody and under arrest.

"We have witnesses who saw the whole thing," he said.
