Ready your tarps: Edmonton Folk Music Festival announces 2024 lineup

Fans flocking to Gallagher Park for the 45th annual Edmonton Folk Music Festival will enjoy a jam-packed lineup.

Fans flocking to Gallagher Park for the 45th annual Edmonton Folk Music Festival will enjoy a jam-packed lineup.

The full list of performers for the iconic summer festival in the heart of Edmonton's river valley was revealed Tuesday.

Music fans eager to lay down their tarps for a coveted spot on the hillwill enjoy acts including Ben Howard, KT Tunstall, Black Pumas, Good Lovelies, Robert Finley and Rhiannon Giddens.

The 2024 lineup also features Rose Cousins, Eric Bibb with Michael Jerome Browne, Alpha Yaya Diallo, Pharis and Jason Romero, and Blue Rodeo.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss were previously announced as headliners and will close this year's festival, which runs from Thursday, Aug. 8, through Sunday, Aug. 11.

'Incredible weekend lineup'

"I couldn't be more happy to present this incredible weekend lineup that is going to make that finale with Robert Plant and Alison Krauss so much more special," festival producer Terry Wickham said in a statement.

In all, 64 acts will hit the stagesduringthe four-day festival. A full list of performers is available here.

Tickets go on sale on Saturday, online only,starting at 10 a.m. MT.

Weekend passes are $117 for youth ages 12 to 17,$189 for adults 18 to 24,$234 for adults 25 to 64,and $179 for seniors 65 to 79. Single-day tickets are also available.

Children 11 and under,and seniors 80 and older, get in free.
