Three men charged in connection to September sexual assault

One man has been arrested and two more are wanted on Canada-wide warrants for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman in Calgary last fall.

The woman, in her 40s, was leaving a bar in the 1800 block of 35 Street S.E. when she was forced into a white SUV by a man. The woman was then taken to a home and sexually assaulted by three men.

She fled the next morning and was able to contact police.

The Calgary Police Service Sex Crimes Unit has charged 38-year-oldJose Alfredo AguilarCruz, also known as Alfredo Cruz,with sexual assault. He will next appear in court in May.

BothEdvin Rolando Cruz Cerrato, also known as Rolando Cruz, 45, andBerlin NoelValle Banegas, also known as NoelValle, 25, arewanted on Canada-wide warrants for sexual assault and kidnapping.

Cruz Cerrato is described as Hispanic, approximately 160 pounds, 5'5", with brown eyes and greying black hair. Valle isdescribed as Hispanic, about170 pounds, 5'7", with brown eyes and black hair.

Investigators believe the men were living in Calgary, but say the pairmay have ties to other parts of Canada and Honduras.
