3 people treated and released after southern Alberta helicopter incident

Three people have been treated for minor injuries and released after an incident involving a helicopter in southern Alberta Sunday afternoon, paramedics tell CBC News.

EMS said there were reports of a helicopter forced to perform a hard landing just before2 p.m. west of theMountain-Aire Lodge near Highway 734, which is southwest of Sundre.

Three people had also been seen waving by a plane flying overhead.

RCMP said the helicopter's emergency locating transmitter sent a signal around1:30 p.m.

There were initialreports the incident happened near Ice Lake.

RCMP, EMS, fire crewsand STARS air ambulance attended.
