It was a caving adventure one man will likely never forget after he got stuck in Rat's Nest Cave near Canmore, Alta.,and had to spend the night while rescuers furiously worked around him to get him free.

Rescue crews got the call to Grotto Mountainjust before 11 p.m. after the guide of a caving tourworked for hours trying to get his client out of the area called the Laundry Chute.

"He was descending through that piece of terrain and at one point ... he wasn't able to get out the other side, so thankfully he was able to wiggle himself back up into a slightly more comfortable spot, but still very confined," saidJeremy Mackenzie fromKananaskisCountry Public Safety (KCPS).

After not being able to free him, the guide went to the mouth of the cave as there is no cell reception to call for help.
