Rachel Notley makes trip to meet with Kathleen Wynne on energy, climate change

Premier Rachel Notley is on her way to Toronto to meet with Ontario Premier Kathleen WynneFriday morning.

The topic of the meeting is "issues of common interest, including action on climate change and the Canadian Energy Strategy."

The meeting was not part of the Alberta premier's weekly itinerary.

It comes on the heels of an announcement in Montreal Thursday where the mayors of Montreal and neighbouring cities ofLaval and Longueuilannounced their official opposition to the Energy East pipeline.

The two premiers are to meet at 9 a.m. ET at the Ontario legislature and a news conference will follow that.
