Calgary police investigate 2 overnight shootings

Calgary police are investigating two shootings that happened overnight, leaving a man in hospital.

Shootings in Dover and Kingsland not believed to be related

Calgary police are investigating two shootings that happened overnight.

The first incident was reported just before 1 a.m. in the 700 block of 67th Avenue southwest in Kingsland.

Police received multiple calls from people who heard shots fired.

Officers found evidence of gun shots but no one was injured.

The second shooting happened in Dover, also at about 1 a.m.

Police responded to a call from a man who said he had been shot.

Officers located him in the 3000 block of Dover Ridge Drive S.E.

He was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Police do not believe the two shootings are related.
