Four people are facing charges in connection to a scam that involved rolling back odometers on high mileage vehicles.

At least 15 people bought vehicles that had 50 per cent to 70 per cent more kilometers than advertised and were in need of major mechanical repair, police say.

Earlier this month police later seized odometer rollback devices, license plates and $10,000 in cash from a home in Rocky Ridge in northwest Calgary.

A common-law couple started the fraud back in June of 2013 and then two brothers joined the operation in April of this year, police said in a release.

The investigation continues and more charges are expected to be laid.

The four suspects each face numerous fraud charges.

At least one of the offences are alleged to have taken place in Edmonton, and one of the suspects was also arrested on six outstanding warrants connected with similar allegations in that city.
