Name the Puppy 2015 contest launched by RCMP

The RCMP is inviting children to suggest names for 10 German shepherd puppies recently born at the Police Dog Service Training Centre in Innisfail.

The RCMP is inviting children to suggest names for 10 German shepherd puppies recently born at the Police Dog Service Training Centre in Innisfail, Alta.

Children are encouraged to be original and imaginative in finding names that will serve these puppies well in their careers with Canadas national police force, RCMP said in a release.

We love to receive drawings and paintings.

The contest is open until March 3.

Here are the rules:

  • One entry per person.
  • The name can be for a male or a female pup.
  • It must start with the letter H.
  • It must have no more than nine letters.
  • It must be one or two syllables.
  • Contestants must live in Canada and be 16 years old or younger.

Contestants can enter online or send a letter with the childs name, age,address,telephone number and suggested name to:

The 10 children whose names are chosen by the centres staff will each receive an 810-inch photo of the pup they name, a plush dog named Justice and an RCMP cap.

Contest winners will be announced onApril 8.
