Meghan Bomford remembered as 'feisty' and 'loving' as her father and best friend remain in hospital

As Meghan Bomford's family grieves her death, her father and best friend remain in hospital and it is still not known if they will survive the rollover crash.

As Meghan Bomford's family grieves her death, her father and best friend remain in hospital and it is still not known if they will survive the rollover crash.

"Our beloved Meghan was tragically taken from our lives at too young of an age," said Meghan's mother Lisa Bomford. "With so much ahead of her, we are all grieving."

Meghan was the passenger in the Jeep that was driven by her father, Shaun who is in hospital as isMeghan's best friend 16-year-oldKelsey Nelson.

Police believe speed and alcohol were involved in the single vehicle rollover.

Shaun Bomford was a ringette coach while his daughter and Kelsey played ringette together.

The girlswere alsogoing to be coaches together this year. The Cal-East Ringettesent out a message to its members on Thursday.

"Please keep Meghan, Kelsey, Shaun and their families in your prayers," read part of a statement fromCal-EastRingette.

The crash happenedat about 4:45 p.m. when a Jeep Liberty heading west on McKnight Boulevard N.E. lost control somewhere between 68th and 52nd streets.

The vehicle spun before entering the median and then rolling across the eastbound lanes, police say.

All three people in the Jeep were ejected. Meghandied from her injuries in hospital.

A Gofundmepage has been set up to help Lisa with funeral costs.

"We will no longer get to share graduation, birthdays, weddings and other things [Meghan] was looking forward to," said Lisa.

"She was such a feisty, generous and loving girl who has a love for all things ringette."

The traffic unit continues its investigation.

"Please remember my daughter for the amazing person she was ... rather than focusing on the tragic circumstances of this accident."
