The man facing a manslaughter charge for punching and killing another man outside of a southwest Calgary pub has been granted bail.

Scott Hooser, 27, was charged with manslaughter after 41-year-old Brian Ludwig died from injuries received during a fight outside of Swigs Pub in southwest Calgary on Aug. 26.

Police allege Ludwig had been in an argument with another man about the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team when Hooser stepped in and punched him.
