Man critically injured in overnight crash near Cochrane

One man is in critical, life-threatening condition after a crash between a sedan and a pick-up truckon Saturday night.

The two-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 22, just north of Highway1 around 10 p.m.

When paramedics arrived, they had to extricate the driver of thesedan, a man in his 50s, from his vehicle. He was transported to hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the pick-up truck, a man believed to be in his 30s, was assessed atthe scene and declined transport to the hospital.

The highway was closed overnight, but has since reopened.
