Apay Ogouk turned up atabout 5:45 p.m. MT Thursday at the front counter of a local police station in the northeast part of the city, Calgary police said Thursday night.

A Canada-wide arrest warrant had been issued for the 26-year-old man.

Ogouk faces two counts of aggravated assault.

The arrest warrant was issued after two Winnipeg women, ages 24 and 29, came forward to say they contracted HIV after having unprotected sex with Ogouk on separate occasions.

The women told CBC News Ogouk removed condoms during sex and didn't tell them he had HIV/AIDS.

Both also said they suspected there might be other potential victims living in Winnipeg.

Police had previously said Ogouk, a Sudanese man who has been living in Canada for about 10 years, might be residing in Calgary.
